FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 30th 2014

SOLSTICE PUBLISHING AND Ottawa author WILLIAM DESOUZA

releases THE NOVELLA ‘Jamaican Heat – PART ONE’ On DECEMBER 1ST 2014

A Story of Hope, Loss, Love and Dreams
Ottawa, November 30, 2014 – Solstice Publishing and William DeSouza, an Ottawa author, announces the release of the novella, Jamaican Heat. The semi-autobiographical story is a romance that some will find scandalous, while others will crave more.

“Six years ago, and a lifetime away, we left Kingston and the blissful tropical breeze of Jamaica to the frigid cold and snow of Northern Ontario. Jeffery’s home was Sturgeon Falls and it was as far from Jamaica as the sun is from the Earth.”

The story is told in the first person, as Elizabeth returns home to Jamaica after the death of her husband, Jeffery during the Korean War. It is a love story that breaks the rules and a romance that could never last. Jamaican Heat is part one of a love story that will touch all who read it.

Jamaican Heat is available in English worldwide through Amazon Books as an eBook or hard copy print through Amazon Books at http://goo.gl/JllRdr (The hard copy will be available on December 2nd)

About Solstice Publishing:
Solstice Publishing started in March 2008 under another name. In 2010 we teamed up with a marketing company and changed to Solstice Publishing. Solstice has been growing strong since then, and has become one of the fastest growing mid-market publishers in the USA. In 2014, CEO Melissa Miller capped her achievements by being announced an International Best Selling author, under the pen name Lizzy Stevens, and two of her books were optioned for film. As Chief Executive Officer of Solstice Publishing, based in Farmington, Missouri, Melissa is paving the way for other budding authors to bring their creations to e-readers and print.

About the author William DeSouza:
The author of the romance novella Jamaican Heat, and the sci-fi opera Death's Door: Where Right and Glory Lead; William was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada since the age of seven. In 1980, at 17 and right out of high school, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and spent the next ten years in the “experience of a lifetime”. After retiring from the military, William studied social work and began a new phase that expanded his world. Fast forward to 1996 where William moved to Ottawa and began to write. William's writing is varied, from science fiction, general fiction, romance, essay, and currently trying his hand at steam punk and mysteries. William is currently writing an anthology of short stories for another book and has several other writing projects on the go.
